With Flash MX 2004, Macromedia included an XPath class with the Professional version of Flash. This class only supports a small subset of XPath options, but it's useful in most situations. However, an even better option has been available for years in the form of XFactorStudio. This open-source project is a very robust implementation of XPath in ActionScript.
